Goodness! ANOTHER bad film?

I pretty much hate overrated actors.
Actors might've done some great movies when they were younger, like Jack Nicholson in 'The Shining' and 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', but they are recently cast in dumb-plotted movies just so the producers receive more money from the box office, like 'The Bucket List'.
Sure, it had great acting, but they cast Jack and Morgan Freeman to make up for the bad script.
Another example is Jim Carrey in 'Fun With Dick and Jane' and 'Yes Man'.
Don't you remember when he did 'The Mask' and 'Batman Forever'? Such great movies! His skits on SNL were wonderful. The man is good, he's great, but he's been cast in so many crappy movies recently people think otherwise.
Robin Williams is also another good example.
These actors have all had that period of the hit-and-miss, but I think they could've made a better choice when agreeing to be cast in shabby movies.
Maybe it's just all about the money.

And speaking about movies, my goodness there are some pretty disgusting movies out recently, and by disgusting I mean completely and undeniably lousy! Example; Monsters vs. Aliens, Hannah Montana:The Movie, G-Force, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, Land of the Lost, Year One, and many more.
What has happened with the film industry? They can't come up with something better to write. Disney's swimming in their own pool of money, and all they can come up with are these unoriginal scripts with even worse actors. Pixar Studios is really the only good branch from Disney Pictures.

I am anticipating '2012' and 'Inglorious Basterds'. Supposedly, they're both going to be very good, and I'd never turn down a Quentin Tarantino film.

So, next time you go to the movie theaters, make sure to read some reviews on your movie first, if you don't want to waste your money on a half-witted film.

These pictures are from SOME of my favorite films, either ones I can watch over and over, or that I really enjoyed its plot.
If you don't agree with them, then you probably shouldn't take my movie suggestions.

The kid asked a question. What will you answer, grown-up?

Sooner or later, an adult must find their way around an answer to children's complex, or rather simple yet hard to explain, questions. I'm not talking about the common "Where do babies come from", but children pose so many questions, you've got to come up with creative answers, right?

So my little sister, who is 6 years old, came up to my mom and asked her to smell some sort of scented lip balm she had in her hand. My mom had a cold, so she replied that she couldn't smell it because she had a "stuffy nose". My sister stared at her with a puzzled look on her face; she didn't understand the term 'stuffy nose' until my mom said, "My nose is broken. It's not working."

I remember all the questions I'd ask my parents when I was younger, like how pools were made, or how far the stars were, to which my parents answered in the simplest of ways; "A man dug a hole in the ground and put water inside", and "Veeeeeeery far away." Before I learned how to read, I'd drive my parents insane, asking them to read street signs, books, license plates, peoples t-shirts, and basically anything with writing on it.

We've all been through it, and looking back on it is the best part. It was fun to be a kid, I think.

Very First Blog!

After reading other people's blogs and seeing how easy it was to start one, I became inspired. I may not be the best writer, but it's a way to keep track of all the interesting things that may happen in the future. Not looking for many viewers, this is just for my own personal pleasure. So if you are visiting my page, I hope you enjoy it.

Today is August 3rd, 2009. The countdown to school has begun, leaving all the children in Florida with 20 days left of freedom. I used my time wisely, and traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil to visit some of the family. For my brother's birthday, we stayed for a week at Walt Disney World, which of course, made me as happy as any 7-year-old. I probably enjoyed it more than my brother did.

To wrap things up, I haven't read my Summer books which, in turn, will make me very stressed in the next few days.

Hope to keep writing every so often.
